Arcadia Announces Expansion of Walk-In Health Clinics in Meijer Stores—Seven Michigan stores to offer walk-in clinics

SOUTHFIELD, MI, August 21, 2006: Arcadia Resources, Inc. (AMEX: KAD), a leading national provider of home care, staffing services, and related home care equipment, announced today that it will operate walk-in routine (non-emergency) health clinics in seven Meijer stores in Michigan. Arcadia previously announced in June that it will operate health clinics in nine Meijer stores in Indiana. Arcadia is expanding on its partnership with Physicians’ Organization of Western Michigan (POWM) in this endeavor and POWM will provide the medical oversight and ensure best practices in clinic operations.

Arcadia Resources, Inc. Chairman and CEO John Elliott II said, "Alternative-site healthcare is a delivery model that meets the needs of today’s consumer. Our clinics offer a lower cost, less waiting time solution for routine health care. We will continue to pursue opportunities to further expand our retail-based health clinics to other markets in the United States."

David Silliven, Executive Director of POWM, said, "Serving communities in Michigan and Indiana with physician-driven, high-quality healthcare in a convenient setting is important to us. The walk-in clinics promote wellness by offering easy, affordable access to screening, vaccines and other routine testing."

The clinics will be staffed by Arcadia Nurse Practitioners and will offer routine health services, such as the treatment for strep throat, bronchitis, ear infections, sinus infections, scrapes, and minor injuries. Additionally, the clinic will provide vaccines and routine screening, such as cholesterol and blood pressure, without an appointment and with little or no waiting time.

The walk-in clinics in Michigan will be located inside Meijer stores in Grand Rapids, Battle Creek, Cadillac, Benton Harbor, Portage, Three Rivers, and Jenison. They are scheduled to open in November 2006.
