Rising Star - Arcadia serves as link between countries
It is never easy to steal the spotlight when the founding documents of the American legal
and government system are on hand. However, Arcadia’s Virginia Beach, Va., office accomplished the task recently at the “Magna Carta & Four Foundations of Freedom” exhibit at the Contemporary Art Center museum in Virginia Beach.
The bishop of Lincolnshire, England’s Lincoln Cathedral and the town’s Lord Mayor traveled to the United States to present the museum with one of only four existing original copies of the Magna Carta from the 13th century. The mayor of Virginia Beach and other city officials were present for the ceremony.
Delores Jacobson, Arcadia Marketing and Sales Representative, introduced the Virginia Beach mayor and English dignitaries. Upon doing so, the mayor stressed the significance
of Arcadia’s presence in the region to the foreign visitors, proclaiming that Arcadia is “one of the rising stars of Virginia Beach businesses.”
Delores credits Arcadia’s nationwide health-care success to the high standards that the company sets for its employees. “Expect the best and you’ll get the best,” said Delores. “Arcadia truly succeeds because we value our employees and always look out for the best interests of those we serve.”
Through both her work and personal experiences, Delores has come to realize the importance that home health-care holds in the medical industry. Recently, she lost her father and mother-in-law to cancer but, along the way, gained insight into the value of proper care for a loved one.
Delores, who also is registered as a licensed practical nurse, has spent much of her career
in the health-care industry. During her first year in her position at Arcadia, she’s found that working for the company is a source of pride. “It’s an honor to represent Arcadia,” said Delores. “I am able to proudly tell others that we make people’s lives easier.”
